Is rape sex?

That by its very definition and the permanent destructive forces that are unleashed on the victim and their families lives, forever, that rape had very little to do with sex.
As defined by kidshealth.org, Rape is forced, unwanted sexual intercourse. Rape, sometimes also called sexual assault, can happen to both men and women of any age. Rape is about power, not sex. A rapist uses actual force or violence — or the threat of it — to take control over another human being. Some rapists use drugs to take away a person’s ability to fight back. Rape is a crime, whether the person committing it is a stranger, a date, an acquaintance, or a family member. No matter how it happened, rape is frightening and traumatizing. People who have been raped need care, comfort, and a way to heal.
This definition leaves noting to chance, and for the life of me, I can not determine why such a violation could be mistaken for intercourse. The only similarity being that the human sex organs are involved.
My assumption was apparently incorrect one. Rape resembles the sex act, but the end product is different in both instances; one produces pleasure, while the other results in trauma and life long pain.

It is not difficult to separate out any sexual aspect of rape when one has had positive experience before the violation. For victims of childhood sexual abuse however this is not the case. Children are unable to make a distinction of “power”. All they know is bad parts, bad things. As they grow into puberty then the whole house of dissociative cards can come crashing down. And the absence of ant sexual acts but intercourse is frankly shocking. We see your point but unfortunately find it abit naive

Naive, studies do show that women that have been raped exhibit signs of PTSD. Rape and sex are different, but one is used for violence the other for physical gratification.
